Kari Samantha (born April 28, 1967) Wuhrer is an American singer and actress. Wuhrer's career began as she was a teenager. Her most well-known role is Maggie Beckett, an actress in Sliders as well as Sheriff Samantha Parker from the horror comedy Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer is the daughter of Karin Noble (nee Noble), who works as an accountant for payroll and German American Andrew Wuhrer (a policeman and car dealer). The couple has three brothers. While she was a kid, Wuhrer sang at clubs and went out to sing. She began studying acting at her 13th birthday at Wooster School.
