LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30 1984) was an American professional basketball player with the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Nicknamed King James he is widely thought of as one of the most successful athletes of all time. He is frequently compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player in history. James has taken home four NBA championships, four NBA MVP award and four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James is second in highest number of career goals, and the seventh-highest assists. James has been chosen as an NBA All Star 18 times. James has been named to be an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times. He was also selected to be named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. Ten NBA Finals is the most ever. He has also won eight times in a row between the years 2011-2018. In 2018 he was also selected to join The NBA 75th Anniversary team. In 2021 James was selected to be part of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022 became the first player of NBA history to accumulate 10,000 points or more in a career rebounds and assists. James was a student at St. Vincent St. Mary High School, located in Akron Ohio. The national media hailed James as an NBA star. He was a prep-to pro and was the first pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft in 2003. In 2004, he was named NBA Rookie. Then, he quickly was one of the league's best athletes, winning the NBA MVP award in 2009 & the year 2010. James signed with the Miami Heat in 2010 when the team became a free agent after failing to achieve a Championship with Cleveland. The announcement was made on The Decision.
