Simone Biles, American gymnast (born 14 March 1997 in Columbus Ohio U.S.) is considered to be one of sport's best athletes. Biles along with the younger of her sisters Adria was adopted from Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles' grandparents in Spring Texas (in the Houston region), grew up there. Simone began to take an interest in gymnastics when she was just six when she took a field trip for day care at Bannon's Gymnastix and remained there for 11 years under supervision of instructor Aimee Boorman. Biles took home a medal for vaulting, and a bronze medal in floor at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. The year 2011 saw her begin participating in the elite level of the sport. A year later Biles was the king of the field. Biles was notable for her consistency in performance, vivacious persona, and the difficulty of her routines at all four events including vault, bars with uneven surfaces, and the balance beam.
